Description of Imagery Work & Hypnotherapy Offerings
The form of Imagery Work I practice dates back hundreds of years, and is based on Jewish Kabbalistic teachings, though the practice is universal, not requiring any particular spiritual or religious belief system. I have studied this work since 2009 with Dr. Catherine Shainberg, Director of The School of Images. The school is located in New York City. In 2014, I also completed a Hypnotherapy Certification program at the Wellness Institute in Issaquah, Washington. I utilize both systems, with a stronger emphasis on the Imagery Work approaches I have learned.
Note: You can schedule a stand-alone Imagery/Hypnotherapy session, or I can incorporate some of the Imagery/Hypnotherapy work into an acupuncture or massage therapy session (focused on physical symptoms).
With Imagery Work, I take you through short exercises that help reveal what stands in the way of achieving your goals and how to resolve this, so that you can have good health, financial abundance, loving relationships, conceive a baby, or whatever else may be your desire or wish. Part of this work also includes looking at dreams and what they are trying to convey to you, as well as other techniques to support you in your personal development. I incorporate Hypnotherapy into the session when needed, such as when more time is needed to be able to relax into your inner world or when it is appropriate to access older memories that created the patterns of thought, belief, and behavior that you want to shift.
Some of you may think, “I’m not visual” and be concerned that you won’t be able to do this work. Although seeing images in your inner vision may not feel easy to do, the truth is that on some level everyone can see, and that vision can be strengthened with practice. If asked to describe what your car or bed or couch looks like, likely you can describe its color and shape, seeing it in your mind’s eye as you describe it. Rest assured if you have this concern that the exercises also engage the other senses, including hearing, feeling body sensations, tasting, and smelling. Anyone can do this work.
